1. J.D. moved to Scottsdale in 1998 to pursue a career as a professional golfer.

2. J.D is an avid Audi & VW fan and loves station wagons.

3. In 1996, J.D. played in the U.S. Amateur golf tournament and had a 1-on-1 match against Tiger Woods. J.D. had the lead after six holes, but ended up losing 3 & 2.

4. Their match was played in front of over 3,000 people and was broadcast on NBC. Johnnie Miller is a jerk.

5. J.D grew up in Lincoln, NE and was an avid Cornhusker football fan as a kid.

6. J.D. & his wife, Stephanie, have been married for 9 years.

7. They have a blended family of five kids, Drew–23, Matthew–20, Alex–17, Tyler–17 & Ava–15.

8. J.D. loved to visit the National Parks during college. Rocky Mountain National Park & Zion National Park are two of his favorites.

9. J.D. loves to play Xbox & Wii with all his kids. Their favorite games are “Just Dance” & “Battlefield.”

10. He has lived in Arrowhead for 13 years.

11. J.D. went to Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

12. J.D. played on the CSU golf team and traveled all over the western US to tournaments.

14. J.D. loves Arizona and decided to stay here full-time.

15. The year after J.D. moved here, his parents and the rest of his family moved to Arizona.

16. J.D. & Stephanie love to travel. Their favorite places are Laguna Beach & Dana Point in California.

18. J.D.’s son Tyler has Asperger’s Syndrome and is crazy about dinosaurs.

19. Their favorite game to play is “Jurassic World Alive.”

20. J.D.’s daughter Ava is a sophomore at Mountain Ridge High School and is on the JV cheer squad.

21. His oldest stepson is about to graduate from U of A.

22. J.D.’s stepsons Matthew is a junior at NAU & Alex is a senior at Sunnyslope High School. Alex is on the varsity football team and plays rugby for the Phoenix Redbirds. (he’s a beast, get out the way!)

23. J.D.’s favorite way to relax is to hang out by the fire-pit and listen to music.
